FAQ/HELP/ IMPRESSUM...

Python-3.12.2-amd64.exe program on Windows:

Requirements:

Python 3.12.2 (or later): Download the installer from the official Python website (https://www.python.org/downloads/).

Visual Studio Build Tools (optional, for C/C++ extensions): Install the Build Tools from the Microsoft website (https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/?q=build+tools).

Compiling with the Python interpreter:

Open a command prompt.

Navigate to the directory of your Python script.

Run the following command:

python -m py_compile your_script.py

Explanation:

python : Calls the Python interpreter.

-m py_compile : Enables py_compile mode.

your_script.py: Replace this with the name of your Python script.

Result:

Compiling produces a bytecode file (your_script.pyc) in the same directory as the script. This bytecode file can run faster than the original script.

Compiling with C/C++ extensions:

1. Install the required libraries.

For C extensions: pip install cython

For C++ extensions: pip install cppy

2. Create a setup script (e.g. setup.py).

python

from setuptools import setup

set up(

     name='YourPackageName',

     version='0.1',

     description='Your package description',

     ext_modules=[

         Cython.BuildExt('your_module', ['your_module.pyx']),

     ],

)

Use the code with caution.

content_copy

3. Run the following command:

python setup.py build_ext

Explanation:

setup.py: The setup script describes the extensions to compile.

Cython.BuildExt : Compiles the C/C++ extensions using Cython.

Result:

Compiling creates a .so (Shared Object) file in the build\lib.win-amd64-3.12 directory.

A notice:

Make sure you specify the correct compiler flags for your target platform.

For more information, see the Python documentation: https://docs.python.org/3/c-api/ and the Cython documentation: https://cython.org/.
